The Village
Tortuguero is a picturesque village on Costa Rica's northern Caribbean coast, often called the "Tropical Venice of Costa Rica." Surrounded by canals, lagoon, and the Caribbean Sea, it can only be reached by boat or plane—adding to its charm. Each year, four species of sea turtles, including the famous green turtle, nest on its beaches.
